1. What You Should Know

This policy explains how UK Visa Sponsorship Checker (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our Chrome extension and website (together, the “Services”).

We are AAK AI Solutions, and we are the controller of your personal information.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.

2. How We Collect Information

Information you give us

• Account details: your email address, first name and last name, provided when you sign up directly or with Google.
• Sign-up answers: how you heard about us, and whether you want to receive marketing emails.
• Your CV: when you use CV Tailor, the text of the CV you upload.
• Details you enter: company names, job titles and job descriptions you type into the side panel.
• Messages: anything you send us when you contact us or answer a survey.

Information collected when you use the extension

• Job information: the company name, job title and job description of jobs you check, and the website domain you checked them on. On LinkedIn and Indeed the extension reads the job listing you open so it can fill in these details. On other websites it only reads the page when you click “Select from Page”. Job details are only sent to us when you run a check or use a feature.
• Saved jobs: jobs you add to the Tracker.
• Usage information: which features you use, how many checks you run, response times, and how you interact with the extension (for example, which buttons you click and your progress through the guided tour). This is linked to your account.
• Information stored on your device: the extension stores your settings, an analytics identifier, sign-in status and your most recent CV review in your browser's storage. This stays on your device and is removed when you sign out or uninstall the extension.

Payment information

Payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of your purchase and plan, but we never see or store your card details.

Information from public sources

• Sponsor data: the UK Home Office's public register of licensed sponsors and related official data. This is information about companies, not about you.
• Referral search: when you search for people to ask for a referral, we use web search to find publicly available professional profiles of people who work at that company (their name, job title and profile link) and show them to you. If you are one of these people and want us to stop showing your information, contact us using the details below.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the Services: checking sponsorship, checking whether a role has been sponsored, estimating salary thresholds, finding referral contacts, tailoring your CV and tracking your saved jobs.
• To create and manage your account, including free trial limits and paid plans.
• To process payments.
• To send you service emails, such as account, security and payment messages.
• To send you marketing emails about new features, tips, sponsorship opportunities and offers, but only if you have agreed to receive them.
• To understand how the Services are used, so we can fix problems and improve them.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, and to keep the Services secure.
• To meet our legal obligations.

AI-generated results

Some results, such as sponsorship matches, role checks, salary estimates and CV suggestions, are produced using AI together with official Home Office data. They may not always be accurate and are not immigration or legal advice. Always confirm sponsorship with the employer. We do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. We do not use your personal information or your CV to train our own AI models.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information with companies that perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting and database providers, sign-in and authentication providers, payment processors, third-party AI providers, web search providers, analytics providers and email delivery providers. They may only use your information to provide their services to us.

For example, job descriptions, job titles, company names and (when you use CV Tailor) your CV text are sent to AI providers to produce your results, and your email address is sent to our email provider to deliver emails to you.

We may also share information:

• if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public;
• with a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganised, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

5. Your Choices

• Marketing emails: unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, or by contacting us. We will still send service emails about your account.
• Where the extension appears: you can hide the extension on specific websites, or on every website except LinkedIn and Indeed, in the side panel settings.
• Your account: you can ask us to access, correct or delete your information at any time (see section 11).
• Uninstalling: uninstalling the extension removes the data it stores on your device.

6. Security

We protect your information with industry-standard measures. Data is encrypted in transit and stored with secure cloud providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to the people who need it.

7. Data Retention

• Account information, saved jobs and usage records: kept while your account is active.
• Your CV: sent for analysis when you use CV Tailor, but not stored on our servers. Your most recent CV review is kept in your browser until you sign out or uninstall the extension.
• Analytics data: kept only as long as it is useful for understanding and improving the Services.
• If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal information within one month, except where we must keep it for legal reasons (for example, payment records needed for tax purposes).

8. Third-Party Websites

The extension works on websites run by others, such as LinkedIn and Indeed. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

9. Children

The Services are not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Some of our providers store or process information outside the UK, including in the United States. When this happens, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK-US Data Bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to Standard Contractual Clauses, as set out in our providers' data processing terms.

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is inaccurate;
• ask us to delete your information;
• ask us to restrict how we use your information;
• object to us using your information based on our legitimate interests, including the referral search;
• receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or to your local data protection authority if you are in the EEA. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last Updated” date. If the changes are significant, we will let you know by email or in the extension.
